Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, presided over the regular meeting of the Economic Commission at Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, the topics listed on the agenda were discussed. It was decided at the meeting that the committee headed by the Ministry of Economy to address transport problems should look into current problems facing the sector and provide a report to the Economic Commission. Also, in accordance with current regulations, the customs procedure for unregistered vehicles and the period for related problems have been extended until the end of the 1402 solar year. In a similar vein, it was decided that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum should share the overall report and decision-making criteria related to the bidding of lead and zinc mines in Ghor province with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and member ministries of the Economic Commission. So, following a thorough analysis, a decision will be made at the Economic Commission's subsequent meeting. Additionally, it was decided that representatives from Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Afghan Telecom under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy should look into the matter of optical fiber and submit the report to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. This was done after a thorough discussion on the economic plan for the renting and leasing of optical fiber by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat. At the end of the meeting, projects related to the construction of New Kabul City in the Deh Sabz district of Kabul Province, having legal clearance documents, were reviewed. It was decided that the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing can approve such projects and the documents should be submitted to the Economic Commission for approval. Afterward, people should be allowed to work.
