The deputy prime minister for economic affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, at the head of a high-ranking delegation, visited the Aynak copper mine in Logar province. The delegation led by Mullah Sahib and the honourable ministers of the Ministries of Mines and Petroleum, Economy, Industry and Trade, Telecommunications and Information Technology, the Head of the Affairs Department and some security officials visited different parts of Aynak Copper Mine. Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund called the Aynak copper mine an important economic source of the country and asked China to start the practical work of the stated mine as soon as possible. The delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of the Prime Ministership also met with the officials of the MCC company (contracting company) of the project in the region. In the end, this delegation visited the ancient areas of this mine and provided necessary recommendations to the relevant officials regarding the transportation of ancient artefacts in these areas.
